So on the back of a friends recommendation (thanks Sean & Rach) we have decided to get Chrissy her PADI dive certificate at Underwater Vision (http://www.underwatervision.net) here in Utila. I will also be doing a quick refresher course at some stage just to get back into it.
Tammy at Underwater Vision has been very helpful with everything and Chrissy starts her course today so she can report back on that at some stage soon. It has a nice new hotel (Hotel Trudy) and we have a private room with air-con overlooking the sunset across the bay. A little man-made beach with a volleyball court and a nice bar and plenty of hammocks around the place, plus a private little jetty; it doesn’t get much better than this J
Yesterday we just chilled out a bit and went for a walk around the main part of Utila. The main (and only) township is situated around a bay and you can walk from one end to the other in about 40 minutes. All it is is pretty much just dive shops, bars, food and a few specialist shops (clothes, pharmacy etc). The whole island seems to be centred on diving and with a total population of about 10,000 it is a pretty relaxed little Caribbean island.

I have taken a time lapse video of the sunset using my Replay XD1080 Action Camera that was supplied by Racerecall. I will keep doing them for the week we are here and post my favourite next week as we are having problems uploading here due to the Internet speed
