Just a quick update as we have now arrived successfully on Utila, a small island off Honduras in the Carribean.
It took us 20 hours and 4 different flights to get from LA to Utila but so far it seems worth it. With $4 (huge) cocktails, $5 lobster meals and $1 beers we had a huge feed last night before quickly going to bed to catch up on our sleep.
We just grabbed a room at the first place we found, which was the Bayview Hotel. To be honest it is pretty spartan and slightly overpriced (for Utila). The rooms were tired, old bathrooms, and old bedding. It was OK for a night, but i wouldn’t reccomend it.
Today we are going looking for dive centres for Chrissy to get her dive certificate so will update tonight with what we find and where we are staying.
EDIT – Ended up staying at, and diving with Underwater Vision. Just paid $5 for a beer, a gin, and a litre bottle of water. Loving Utila
